In September 2006, the Eames House was added to the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark. It was designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #381 in July 1988. The Gamble House in Pasadena is widely regarded as a masterpiece of the Arts and Crafts style.
